Huawei Mobile Services keeps crashing after installing on Samsung S9?

I was very happy to have received my Honor Band5 and ready to get going. Installed the Health app and it asked for Huawei Mobile Services to be installed on my Samsung S9. After opening the Health app I got an immdeiate message that the Huawei Mobile Services keeps crashing. Then I get a message 'this app needs access to Huawei Mobile Servcies. Allow Huawei Mobile Services to run in the background or to be activated by another app. INSTRUCTIONS' When I click on the INSTRUCTIONS link, it takes me to an empty HELP page. Not very helpful...

I tried uninstalling and installing, after rebooting my Samsung S9 several times. I cleaned my phone's cache, cleared all settings but nothing works... Please help!
