Hi HONOR Fans,
The topic of water-resistance in regards to the smartwatch scene often has a slightly vague approach to it with many misconceptions that waterproof and water-resistance are the same thing. Is my watch actually waterproof? What does water-resistance even mean? Can I swim with my watch? These are all common questions that are often left slightly unanswered. Today, we will be taking a look at what these terms mean, how it impacts smartwatches and what is the situation with water and the HONOR Watch GS Pro?
Firstly, its important to remember that “waterproof” does not mean it will retract water infinitely. However, thankfully there is a system in place when it comes to smartwatches that enables one to understand how much water pressure a device can take. The difference between waterproof and water resistance refers to the extent that water can be withheld from entering or leaving an object.
Now that we have covered a bit of a technical background, your probably wondering how this is related to HONOR smartwatches and in particular, an outdoor focused water, the HONOR Watch GS Pro.
The HONOR Watch GS Pro has water resistance up to 5ATM. In other words, 5 Atmospheres, which equates to 50 meters in depth. Congratulations, you can do pretty much all your swimming activities, unless you are of course looking to go deep sea diving, which I think would be very few people here in this community
If you are interested in a different model from HONOR’s smartwatch collection and you are looking to save a little more than you can always look at the HONOR MagicWatch 2 and HONOR MagicWatch. Both of these innovative devices also have water protection of 5ATM, giving you more for less.
Is water resistance an important factor for you in a smartwatch? How often do you keep your smartwatch on when you go into water?
