What is the HONOR Band 6?

The HONOR Band 6 is a fitness tracker manufactured by HONOR. It looks quite like the HONOR Watch ES.

How is the HONOR Band 6?

The HONOR Band 6 is a very competitive fitness tracker from HONOR, considering it only costs around 249RMB in China. It comes with a 1.47 inch touch display, which is the largest among all the fitness bands from HONOR. The HONOR Band 6 looks quite like the HONOR Watch ES, which costs at 549RMB.

Is there an app for the HONOR Band 6?

The App for the HONOR Band 6 is the Huawei Health app, which is also the app for other smartwatches and fitness bands from HONOR.

What workout modes can be tracked on the HONOR Band 6? How are they different from each other?

The HONOR Band 6 supports 10 professional workout modes, including outdoor/indoor running, outdoor/indoor walking, outdoor/indoor cycling , indoor swimming, elliptical, rower and free training, tracking your workout data at real-time such as heart rate, calories burned, distance and pace. Users can also create their personal heart rate zones to improve their workout results.

The HONOR Band 6 provides slightly different data depending on the workout mode. For example, the HONOR Band 6 counts steps for outdoor/indoor walking and in particular to swimming mode, the HONOR Band 6 can provide statistics for distance, laps, SWOLF, number of strokes and calories, effectively helping users to boost swimming efficiency.

How can the HONOR Band 6 detect workout mode automatically?

To detect workout automatically, users need to enable this function in the Workout settings of the HONOR Band 6. When the HONOR Band 6 detects intense activity, it will send an automatic reminder to users to start recording their workout data. Currently, the HONOR Band 6 can detect six workout modes automatically including running, walking, cycling, swimming, elliptical, and rower.

Is the HONOR Band 6 compatible with the iPhone?

Yes, the HONOR Band 6 is compatible with the iPhone. The app used for HONOR Band 6 is the Huawei Health App, so you simply need to download and install the Huawei Health app on your iPhone.

Is the HONOR Band 6 compatible with Samsung?

Yes, the HONOR Band 6 is compatible with Samsung. Just download and install the Huawei Health app on your Samsung to use the HONOR Band 6.

Is the HONOR Band 6 spo2 accurate?

The SpO2 measuring feature on the HONOR Band 6 is accurate from my tests. The readings on the HONOR Band 6 are almost the same with those I got from a pulse oximeter.

Is the HONOR Band 6 waterproof?

Yes, the HONOR Band 6 is waterproof. The waterproof rating is 50m based on the ISO standard 22810:2010, which means water resistance of 50m. But the HONOR Band 6 is not suitable for deep water and some activities such as hot springs, steam rooms, diving, water skiing, and many others.

What is the battery life of the HONOR Band 6? How long does it take to fully charge?

The HONOR Band 6 can last up to 14 days for typical usage and 10 days for heavy usage scenarios on a full single charge. Equipped with fast-charge technology, just 10 minutes of charging allows users to enjoy 3 days of use.

When to charge the HONOR Band 6?

Whenever possible, charge the HONOR Band 6 before the battery level drops to 10% and this could help to prolong the lifespan of the battery.

Is customizing watch faces available on the HONOR Band 6?

Yes, the HONOR Band 6 offers various watch faces.

How many watch face options does the HONOR Band 6 have and can the watch face be customized?

The HONOR Band 6 offers nine pre installed watch face options right out of the box. To let users express their style, there is a wide range of watch face options that can be downloaded from the Health App.

Users can also customize their own watch faces using the photos on their smartphone, while customizing widgets are also available on some of the watch faces to cater to different user needs.

Can the HONOR Band 6 answer calls?

No, it's impossible to answer a phone call on the HONOR Band 6. At the same time when you receive a phone call, you will receive a notification on the fitness band.

Can the HONOR Band 6 connect to strava?

No, HONOR Band 6 cannot connect to the strava app. The App for the HONOR Band 6 is the Huawei health app instead, which has similar functions to Strava.

Can you install third-party applications on the HONOR Band 6?

No, the HONOR Band 6 currently does not support any third-party application. However, we are constantly looking at opportunities to work with developers to optimize the user experience for our wearable products.  

Can the HONOR Band 6 work without a phone?

Yes, the HONOR Band 6 can work without a phone. But to use the smart features, such as weather report, continuous heart rate monitoring, sleep quality monitoring, it is recommended to pair the HONOR Band 6 with a phone.

Can the HONOR Band 6 control music?

Yes, the HONOR Band 6 can control music. Turning up or down the volume, playing the next or former song, stopping or starting a song, is available on the HONOR Band 6.

What health monitoring features does the HONOR Band 6 offer?

The HONOR Band 6 supports a variety of health monitoring features including:

           SpO2 Measuring: The HONOR Band 6 comes with an SpO2 monitor feature to track oxygen saturation levels in the blood, which is an important health indicator to ensure your body is working properly. SpO2 monitoring can help you to determine how your body is adapting to heavy workouts or to high altitudes.

          Heart Rate Monitoring: Equipped with TruSeen™ 4.0 heart rate monitoring technology, the HONOR Band 6 can track your heart rate accurately in real time during the day. As a crucial indicator of your health, heart rate monitoring can also detect and alert you if your heart rate is too high or too low.  

          Sleep Monitoring: Thanks to TruSleep™ technology, the HONOR Band 6 offers accurate sleep tracking to help you improve the quality of your sleep and get into healthier sleeping habits. It automatically detects and records your sleeping status including the time you fall asleep, wake up, and the different sleeping stages you go through including light, deep and REM sleep. The HONOR Band 6 provides over 200 personalized suggestions tailored to your sleeping habits.

          Stress Monitoring: The HONOR Band 6 analyzes patterns in your heart rate and can detect when you are feeling stressed. The HONOR Band 6 also offers easy-to-follow breathing exercises, effectively guiding you to relieve stress and tension wherever you may be.

         Female Cycle Tracker: The HONOR Band 6 offers menstrual cycle management with precise monitoring to keep users on track each month. The HONOR Band 6 can predict and remind users of future menstrual periods and fertile windows based on previous records, helping female users to better manage their monthly cycle.

Can the HONOR Band 6 measure blood pressure?

Yes, the HONOR Band 6 could measure blood pressure and this is the first band from HONOR that has this feature.

Can the HONOR Band 6 measure stress?

Yes, measuring stress is available on the HONOR Band 6.

Does the HONOR Band 6 have GPS?

No, the HONOR Band 6 does NOT have GPS. If you exercise with the HONOR Band 6 on your wrist while carrying your smartphone, the HONOR Band 6 could get your motion trail from the phone. Or only your heart rate and steps will be recorded.

Does the HONOR Band 6 detect sleep?

The HONOR Band 6 is powered by HUAWEI Truesleep2.0 sleep monitoring technology, which is the world leading sleep monitoring tech based on Infrared light. It could identify deep sleep, light sleep, REM, awake and a nap.

How does the remote shutter work?

After connecting the HONOR Band 6 to a smartphone, users can enter the app list and select Remote shutter on the HONOR Band 6 to launch the camera on their phone. Users can simply tap the camera icon on the screen to take a photo remotely.

How to change the HONOR Band 6 strap?

On the back of the HONOR Band 6, you will find a pair of the plastic lock at the end of the strap that connects to the Band itself. Insert your nail into the hole beside the lock to remove it. Then you can connect the new straps and insert the lock.

How to charge HONOR Band 6?

Attach the charger connector to the band, then connect the charger cable to an adapter to charge the HONOR Band 6.

How to pair HONOR Band 6?

Open the Huawei Health app on your Phone then click Devices on the bottom. Click add and select smart bands. Find the HONOR Band 6 then click ‘pair’ on the next page. In the search list, find the name of your HONOR Band 6 and touch that. After that, you will need to confirm pairing on the screen of the HONOR Band 6.

How to restart HONOR Band 6.

Swipe up or down on the screen of the HONOR Band 6, until you find More. Then click System and find restart. Restarting the HONOR Band 6 will not erase any data while resetting it will.

How to update HONOR Band 6?

On the phone that paired with HONOR Band 6, open the Huawei Health app. Go to device, then touch HONOR Band 6 in the paired device list. Roll down to find firmware updates and touch that. On the next page, you can click "update" if a firmware update is available.

How to use HONOR Band 6?

The HONOR Band 6 features a touch display. Swipe up or down to find the different features. And you can swipe to the right to return back to the previous menu.

What are the major differences between HONOR Band 6 and HONOR Band 5?

The HONOR Band 6 comes with an ultra-large 1.47-inch full-screen AMOLED display, which is 148% larger than the HONOR Band 5.

The HONOR Band 6 also features a new full-screen design and a physical button on the side, while the HONOR Band 5 keeps a home button on the screen.

The heart rate monitoring technology of HONOR Band 6 has been upgraded from TruSeen 3.0 to TruSeen 4.0, delivering more accurate heart rate monitoring with less power consumption.
