Hello all
One of the consequence of the HONOR 9X Pro and HONOR 9X not having GMS is certain apps not being on the Huawei App Gallery yet, and the trust issues of banking apps especially being sourced from non official sources. I agree, I would never install a banking app or any security related app from unknown sources either.
However, if you have a Honor phone with the Google Play Store, you can transfer banking apps, and other security related apps like Authy to the 9X Pro. While you will of course need to periodically update them via this method, will mean you can still access banking functions like balance checking, transfers and payments with the same levels of protetions offered by the banks as the apps themselves will be the same as sourced from Google Play.
WARNING: I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE USE OF APKS FROM ANYWHERE OTHER THAN THE GOOGLE PLAY STORE OR APPGALLERY FOR BANKING OR SECURITY APP PURPOSES.
Warning out of the way, here we go.
Step One. Install your banking app of choice from the Play Store on your Honor Phone that has GMS.

Step Two: Run HiSuite on your PC or Laptop (For those who do not know how to use HiSuite, check here: https://consumer.huawei.com/uk/support/hisuite/ ), Connect your phone to the PC or Laptop and make a Backup of the app in question.

Step Three: Connect the 9X pro and run a restore of the app to the 9X Pro.

Step Four: Open the app on the 9X Pro. You will need to go through your banks security protocols to register the app on the 9X Pro (My Bank Lloyds, has a phone confirmation system).

And that's it, it should then work and the same level of protection will apply, and your banking app will be assecure on the 9X Pro as on any other Google powered device. As you can see, it uses the same Fingerprint systems, as of course, it's the exact same app.
Of course, I cannot guarantee this works with all banking apps, but there's nothing to say why it shouldn't as while the 9X Pro doesn't have GMS, the Kirin 810 has the same ARM Trustzone TEE technology required for security in banking apps etc.
Thanks for reading and let me know any questions and comments and I'll do my best to answer them.
