我的荣耀 开启荣耀之旅

As we all probably know the new honor 20 series was announced earlier this week. I had the honor of going to attend the event for myself. I got a couple of photos that I thought were worth sharing as well as my thoughts and first impressions.

First off from a front view it looks extremely similar to the predecessor, view 20 with the hole punch and similar sized display. despite this upon further inspection I noticed that the curved display edges are a lot more subtle. which in my book are a great thing as the view 20 does have a rather large curved corner display.

Another radical change is the camera gear and also the fingerprint reader. the reader has been relocated to the side of the device which is quite unusual to be honest since honor had perfected the rear finger print scanner. Never the less, the scanner is fast and is surprisingly easy to reach. I did not get a chance to test this feature, but I am curious if the notifications panel can been summoned by swiping down on the fingerprint reader similar to previous renditions.

Despite the beautiful new design most of the internals remain the same as the view 20 however, this is not a bad thing, if not quite the opposite as it means the device is much more affordable than the competition for example the one plus 7 and better in nearly every way. As far as I'm aware pricing starts at £399 for the standard model we are probably looking at about £550 for the pro. Either device is worth it in my eyes although if you are looking for a bare bones configuration that gets the job done with less features the honor 20 lite is also a compelling option.

I didn't mention much about the camera tech but it is definately no slouch with a super wide f1.4 aperture and an ISO up to 204800 the camera is really packing a punch. included is also a wide angle, telephoto and for the first time a 2mp macro camera for all your close up shots.

Overall the honor 20 and 20 Pro are a more refined and subjectively better looking rendition of the honor view 20. The camera is top notch and supported by flagship specs like the Kirin 980 and either 6 or 8 GB of ram the phone is really In a league of its own and at a great price. If you are in the market for a new phone I would really recommend having a look at the all new honor 20 series.

Also look out for the all new colour exclusive to the honor 20 standard, Icelandic white.
