Hello Guys,
Those who possess HONOR 8X and HONOR 10 Lite Smartphones might be waiting for EMUI 10 impatiently. If you are a tech enthusiast, you may already know this that First HONOR will push the Beta Testing Update of EMUI 10 and after the end of BETA Testing, the stable update will be pushed.
Although you may be excited about getting your HONOR Smartphone Updated as fast as you can and from the last couple of weeks before you move forward with the available BETA Update for your Huawei Smartphone you need to understand what Beta Update really means.
What is BETA Update Program & Why it's not designed for every HUAWEI User?
To answer this First You have to Understand the Meaning of BETA Software Update:
"To put in simple words, before releasing a software version to every Smartphone owner, companies like HONOR and Huawei, etc. release a BETA Software Update for which they recruit a handful of users. The reason to do this is that the Companies can't test each and every aspect of the Software Update and look for every possible flaw or error in the update. So what they do is that after in house testing and fixing the major bugs in the Software, they release the Software to a wide range of users, who are willing to take risk of testing the software and also identify the possible error or bugs in the BETA Software Update. After the evaluation of possible bugs, companies take some time to fix those bugs and then release the final version of their Software Update. This version is known as a stable update"
Why the BETA Update is not for Every User?
Just as I explained earlier, the Beta update is released for the users to test it and report back to the company if the users find any bug. Although there is a rare chance that the bugs affect any major functionalities of the Smartphone still the bugs may exist and not every user wants to use a Software that is not perfect and may crash during the operation.
Therefore, the BETA update is released for those Users that are willing to take that risk and want to experience the new Software as soon as it gets released, even if it contains some bugs.
Hence, before updating your HONOR Smartphone to BETA update please consider if you are ready to take that chance that there could be some bugs in the released BETA update.
If you are okay with the bugs in the BETA update than you may proceed with the update, else you should wait for the stable update to get released.
I hope this answers any of your confusion regarding the BETA Program and Beta Software Updates.
