Hi HONOR Fans,
Last week, we asked you, “what type of stay-at-home persona are you?” We felt that since most of us are spending more time than usual at home, that this would be a great opportunity to discover what you mostly get up to occupy yourself! We asked you to tell us, which persona best represents you from a choice of 8 (fitness fanatic, cleaner, sleeper, socializer, chef, gamer, move/* series watcher and artist).
So let’s keep the ball rolling with our Stay-at-home Initiative!
High up on our list of personas was the ‘Chef’, so we have been doing some digging around the Huawei AppGallery to see what Apps can give you foodies out there a hand with your culinary endeavours.
1. Foodion
First on our list is Foodion – don’t be intimidated by the professional feel of this app – yes it can be used by real chefs as a way to connect, but it is also choc-full of high-quality food photos from restaurants around the world – perfect for some #foodinspo before you set out to make your next stay-at-home meal. There are also some really interesting videos and interviews on there from some top chefs so it’s definitely worth taking a look around.

2. Magic Fridge
OK so you have your idea for the meal that will wow your family or flatmates (or just cheer you up at the end of a long day working from home) but you might be a bit cautious about making a trip to the supermarket. Thankfully Magic Fridge is here to help – you tell the app what is in your fridge and it helps you to come up with tasty recipes! What’s more this helps cut down on food waste and helps you save a bit of money. Not quite sure what to do with that cauliflower you’ve had for a week? This one’s for you!

3. myTaste
Next up we have myTaste – just a good old fashioned recipe app…with 7 million recipes to choose from! The 'world's most popular recipe app' compiles recipes from websites around the world and houses them in one easy-to-navigate place, where you also have the option to choose between healthy meals, different cuisines, and to save and share your favourites.

4. Foodie
Number 4 on the list is the aptly named ‘Foodie’. So you’ve made your dream meal, but does it even really count if you don’t share it on social media? Not so fast! Food photography is a deceptively tricky medium and needs to be handled with care. Thankfully Foodie will have you taking photos good enough for a Jamie Oliver cookbook in no time, with its numerous filters perfect for every setting. I took a pic of the pasta I had for lunch today with my 9X using the ‘crunchy’ filter and was chuffed with the results!

5. Deliveroo
And last but not least, sometimes after a long day, cooking is the last thing we want to do and a takeaway is the only option. Deliveroo is one of the world’s biggest takeaway apps available, so if your local is still open, odds are you’ll find it there!

We hope you enjoyed this latest instalment of our stay-at-home apps suggestions. We’d love to hear your thoughts on these apps and if you’re doing any cooking over the next while why not share it in the community? Use the hashtag #stayathomechef and if there are enough posts hopefully we can put together a compilation post of the best HONOR Foodies contributions!
Stay tuned for the next one in the series which will be coming soon and if you’re a Fitness Fanatic why not check out Sam’s post from earlier here: https://community.hihonor.com/uk/topic/17003/detail.htm
Happy Cooking!
