Transfer files between phones and iOS devices

Getting started: The iOS device (phone or tablet only) needs to install the Honor Connect app.

Transfer files from the Honor phone to the iOS device (phone or tablet only)

On the Honor phone, select the file you want to transfer, and tap .
Open Honor Connect on the iOS device.
After the Honor phone finds the receiving device, tap the device name icon.
At this time, follow the prompts on the iOS device, agree to establish a connection with the Honor phone and transfer files.

Transfer files from the iOS device (phone or tablet only) to Honor phone

On the Honor phone, turn on the Honor Share switch.
Open Honor Connect on the iOS device, select the file to be transferred, and tap Share to bring up the sending interface.
At this time, the iOS device will search for the nearby Honor phone. Once found, tap the device name icon of the corresponding device and establish a connection with it.
After successful establishment, select Accept on the Honor phone.

This feature is only supported on iOS devices running iOS 15.6 and above.
After the Honor phone transfers photos or videos to the iOS device, it may take some time for the Honor Connect app to import them into the Gallery. Please wait patiently and do not close the Honor Connect.

Transfer files between phones and Mutual Transmission Alliance (MTA) devices

MTA is an organization jointly established by many manufacturers in the industry. Different brands of devices can easily transfer files quickly through mutual transfer without data usage. Currently, Lenovo, Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Nubia, Hisense and other brands have joined the MTA. The specific situation is subject to actual conditions.

Transfer files from Honor phones to MTA devices

Turn on the mutual transfer switch on the MTA device.
On the Honor phone, select the file to be sent and tap .
After finding the MTA device on the Honor phone, tap the device name icon.
At this time, on the MTA device, follow the on-screen instructions to receive the file.

Transfer files from MTA devices to Honor phones

Turn on the Honor Share switch on the Honor phone.
Select the file to be sent on the MTA device and tap Share according to the on-screen instructions to bring up the sending interface.
At this time, the MTA device will search for the nearby Honor phone. Once found, tap the corresponding device name icon to establish a connection with it.
After successful establishment, select Accept on the Honor phone.

Transfer files between phone and Mac computer or Windows laptop

Preparation before use: The laptop needs to install the HONOR WorkStation app, and both the laptop and Honor phone must be connected to the same network.

Send files from Honor phone to laptop

Open the HONOR WorkStation on the laptop.
On the Honor phone, select the file to be transferred and tap .
When the Honor phone discovers the laptop device, tap on the device name icon and send the file.

Send files from laptop to Honor phone

Turn on the Honor Share switch on the Honor phone.
Open HONOR WorkStation > Honor Share on the laptop and discover the Honor phone as prompted by the interface.
At this point, on the laptop, select the file to be sent and drag it to the name icon of the phone to send it.

This feature is only supported on Mac devices running macOS 12.0 and above, or Windows laptops running Windows 10.0 and above.
When transferring files from the Windows laptop to the Honor phone, the screen of the phone needs to be turned on.

Transfer files between the phone and an iPhone by tapping them together

Preparation: iPhone needs to have Honor Connect installed and Bluetooth enabled.

Transfer files by tapping Honor phone against iPhone

Both phones have NFC enabled.
If the sender is an Honor phone, select the file to be sent on the phone and tap Share. If the sender is an iPhone, open Honor Connect on the iPhone, select the file to be sent, and tap Open.
With both phone screens on, lightly tap the back of the Honor phone (NFC sensing area) against the top area of the iPhone. A prompt automatically pops up on the receiving phone. Follow the on-screen instructions to accept the file.
