What to Do If Your Phone Cannot Perform Wireless Reverse Charging
What to Do If Your Phone Cannot Perform Wireless Reverse Charging |
If Wireless Reverse Charging doesn’t work, please follow these troubleshooting steps:
Check whether wireless reverse charging is enabled
Go to: Settings > Battery, and turn on Wireless Reverse Charging.
Confirm that the battery level is above 20%
If the phone's battery level is below 20%, use a charger to charge the phone first. Once the battery level is above 20%, you can proceed with wireless reverse charging. When the phone's battery level is below 20%, it will automatically disable Wireless Reverse Charging to ensure the phone's normal operation and a good charging experience.
Check if there are any foreign objects between the two phones
Ensure there are no other materials between the two devices, such as bus cards, metal rings, magnets, or protective cases with built-in metal. If so, please remove them.
Check if the device being charged is placed at the center of the back of the charging device
The position of the device being charged affects the charging efficiency. The further the position deviates from the center, the lower the charging efficiency, and it may even be outside the effective wireless charging range.
To check if the device is placed correctly: Place the device and let it sit for 5 seconds, then observe if charging starts. If it does not start charging, slowly move the device being charged and let it sit for another 5 seconds until charging is successful.
Check whether the device being charged supports wireless charging
Confirm whether the device being charged supports the Qi wireless charging protocol (it is recommended to consult the device manufacturer). If your device is not Qi-certified, there may be compatibility issues. It is recommended to use the wireless charger that comes with the device for charging.
Qi certification is authorized by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC). Only products that have been certified by the WPC can use the Qi certification mark.
Try using another receiving device that supports wireless charging
Try using another receiving device that supports Qi wireless charging (such as iPhone X and HONOR 30 Pro+) to attempt wireless reverse charging. If it can charge, then the issue may lie with the device being charged.
If the above methods still do not resolve the issue
If the above methods still do not resolve the issue, please back up important data, bring the relevant purchase proof, and take your phone and charger to an Honor Authorized Service Center for inspection and assistance.
