FAQs

Is HONOR Magic-link available on my phone?
- HONOR Magic-link is available only on Honor or Huawei phones that support NFC and run Magic UI 2.0 or later, or EMUI 9.0 or later. Check List of Compatible Phone Models for more information.
- Users with phones running EMUI 5.0 or 8.0 will soon be able to use Huawei Share OneHop as we will be rolling out firmware updates to Magic UI 2.0 or EMUI 9.0 for both system. Stay tuned for the latest updates.
Is HONOR Magic-link available on my laptop?
- HONOR Magic-link is available only on Honor laptops with the HONOR Magic-link icon.
- PC Manager that is installed on your laptop must be of the version 9.0.1.80 or later.
What should I do if I do not receive any pop-up message for pairing after I place my phone near the laptop?
- heck phone model compatibility: HONOR Magic-link is available only on Honor or Huawei phones that support NFC and run Magic UI 2.0 or later, or EMUI 9.0 or later. Check List of Compatible Phone Models for more information. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your phone.
- Check laptop model compatibility: HONOR Magic-link is available only on laptops with PC Manager version 9.0.1.80 or later and is running in the background. Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your laptop.
- Open PC Manager, go to My Phone > Connect, and your laptop will search for available devices for pairing.
- During the search process, unlock your phone screen and keep it on, and place your phone about 10 cm above the keyboard.
- If you do not see any pop-up message on your phone after 30 seconds, place your phone close to the keyboard or restart your laptop, and try again.
What should I do if there is no response when I tap my phone to the HONOR Magic-link icon for file transfer?
- Ensure that your phone is unlocked and screen is kept on.
- Check that NFC is enabled.
- Tap the NFC detection area at the back of your phone to the HONOR Magic-link icon again. To find the NFC detection area on your phone, refer to the user manual in PC Manager.
What should I do if I do not receive any pop-up message for pairing after scanning the QR code in PC Manager?
- Ensure that you are using an Honor or Huawei phone, and it is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Ensure that your laptop is connected to Wi-Fi.
- Open the HONOR Browser or the HiBoard on your phone, and touch the scan icon to scan the QR code.
What should I do if file transfer failed?
- Make sure that Bluetooth is enabled on your laptop, and you are using PC Manager version 9.0 or later that is running in the background.
- Disable Wi-Fi on your phone and the laptop, and then enable it on both devices again.
If I open a file each on my phone and my laptop at the same time, which file will be transferred first?
- The file in your phone will first be transferred to the laptop by default.
- To change the transferring direction, close the file on your phone and go to the home screen.
What are the laptop system requirements when using Screen Recording?
- Currently, only Huawei or Honor laptops with Intel processor support this function. For laptops with AMD processor, stay tuned for further updates on the official website.
What are types of documents I can transfer using File Sharing? Do I have to use a specific app to open these documents before transfer?
- You can transfer Word, PPT, Excel, PDF, and TXT using File Sharing.
- To transfer a document from the laptop to your phone, open the document using Microsoft Office 2016 or later versions.
- To transfer a document from your phone to the laptop, open this document using WPS version 11.5.2 or later.
