FAQs

What should I do if there is no response when I tap my phone against the HONOR Magic-link icon, or there is no connection request though the NFC tag has been detected?
- Ensure that your phone is unlocked and the screen is kept on.
- Check that NFC is enabled.
- Tap the NFC detection area at the back of your phone against the HONOR Magic-link icon until your phone vibrates or rings.
What should I do if image transfer fails when I tap my phone against the laptop's HONOR Magic-link icon?
- Check the laptop model compatibility: HONOR Magic-link 2.0 is only available on laptops with PC Manager version 9.0.1.80 or later that is running in the background.
- Make sure that Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are enabled on your laptop, and that Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC are enabled on your phone. Tap the NFC detection area at the back of your phone against the HONOR Magic-link icon again. If the issue persists, restart your phone and laptop.
If I open a file on my phone and my laptop at the same time, which file will be transferred first?
- The file on your phone will be transferred to your laptop first by default.
- To change the direction of the file transfer, close the file on your phone and go to the phone's home screen.
Where are files transferred from my phone stored on the laptop?
- Open PC Manager, go to Settings > Phone Connection (My Phone) to view or modify the location where the files are stored.
Which phone apps can I use to drag and drop files between devices in Multi-Screen Collaboration?
- System apps: Gallery, Files, Notepad, Email, and Recorder. Third-party apps: some apps are supported, may be dependent on app version.
  (Note: Recorder files can only be dragged from your phone to the laptop.)
Which speaker is used when I make calls or play media while using Multi-Screen Collaboration?
- The sound will automatically be played from your laptop for music, videos, and notifications.
- The sound will automatically go through your phone for phone calls.
