My phone/tablet unlocks without a password or I am unable to lock the screen after using a third-party screen lock app

Problem:

If you use a third-party one-touch screen lock app, you may be able to unlock the screen without entering the password, or fail to lock the screen during usage.

Cause:

Some third-party screen lock apps display a black lock screen wallpaper and wait for the phone/tablet to automatically enter Sleep mode instead of actually locking the screen

Solution

To resolve this issue, use the Screen Lock function that comes with your phone/tablet system. To do so, pinch two fingers together on the home screen to enter the editing mode, touch Widgets, find Screen Lock, and then touch to add the widget to the home screen.
