If Smart Remote on your phone does not match the type or brand of the home appliance, or your operation is incorrect or obstructed, Smart Remote may fail to work. Please follow the steps below to troubleshoot:
Check whether the remote control matches the type and brand of the home appliance
Check whether the remote control matches the type and brand of the home appliance. If not, please add it again, as the remote control may not fully cover all types or brands of appliance. If used for other types or brands of appliance, some or all of the keys may fail.
Ensure that your phone is within 7 meters of the home appliance
To reduce power consumption, your phone's infrared transmission power is relatively low, meaning that the distance your phone is capable of controlling appliances from is shorter than that of standard remote controls. Therefore, if your phone is more than 7 meters away from the target home appliance, remote control may fail.
Aim the infrared light at the top of your phone directly at the home appliance
Remote control may fail if you are not pointing your phone directly at the appliance. Therefore, aim the infrared light at the top of your phone directly at the home appliance and keep the angle deviation within a range of 0 to 45 degrees.
Ensure that there is nothing obstructing the operation
The infrared signal may be blocked by the obstacle. Ensure that there is nothing obstructing the operation.

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an HONOR Authorized Service Center for assistance.
