Why doesn't the volume on my phone change?

Why doesn't the volume on my phone change?

1 When your phone is set to Mute, the volume bar does not change, and the sound is still heard when playing audio and video

When you set your phone to Mute by pulling down the Control Center, setting the sound mode in Settings, or touching the button above the volume bar, the volume on the volume bar does not change accordingly, and sound is still heard when playing audio and video.

Adjusting the volume to Mute refers to muting the volume of incoming calls, messages, and notification ringtones. In this case, the Media volume will not be muted.

Press the volume button and tap the Settings icon or the "···" button below the volume bar to display the volume adjustment list. You can adjust the corresponding volume as needed.

In the Settings > Sound & vibration > More interface, the volume bar will not be displayed when you press the volume buttons.

2 Pressing the volume buttons to adjust the volume does not change the Media volume or Ring volume

You can set the default volume control method of the volume buttons. Path: Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > Default volume button control.

3 A specific application has no sound, while other applications can play normally

Check whether it is caused by turning on the individual app volume adjustment function. Troubleshooting method:

Go to Settings > Sound & vibration > More settings to check whether the App volume control switch is turned on. (If there is no such switch, ignore this step)

If it is turned on, press the volume buttons and tap the "···" button to check whether the app volume has been adjusted to a very low level.
