Open Settings, search for and access Apps, find and touch Contacts, touch Permissions, and confirm that Contacts and Call logs permissions have been granted to the Contacts app. Then perform the following for troubleshooting:
There is no notification on the lock screen when calls have been missed
The following figures show the case where there is a missed call notification on the lock screen and the case where there is not.
Perform the following:
Go to Settings > Notifications > Lock screen notifications, and disable Show but hide contents.
- Open Settings, search for and access Apps, then find and touch Contacts. Go to Notifications > Allow notifications, and set Lock screen notifications for silent notifications and sound notifications to Show.
There is no indication in the status bar and no badge displayed on top of the app icon when calls have been missed
Open Settings, search for and access Apps, then find and touch Contacts. Go to Notifications > Allow notifications, and enable App icon badges (not available on all phone models). Then turn on the Display in status bar/Status bar icon/Banners switch for silent notifications and sound notifications.
