Terms & Conditions
1. The following situations are not covered by the HONOR Accidental Damage Protection Service. In such cases, repairs will be charged in accordance with HONOR’s out-of-warranty service standards:
① Any unauthorised modification, disassembly, or repair of the device.
② Where the nameplate or serial number is missing, damaged, altered, or cannot be verified.
③ Loss of accessories or consumable items, including but not limited to chargers, cables, and earphones.
④ Damage resulting from intentional or fraudulent acts.
⑤ Normal wear and tear, including scratches, dents, or other cosmetic damage that does not affect the device’s functionality.
⑥ Failure or damage caused by force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters (such as earthquakes, fires, floods, or storms), or civil disturbances (such as riots or strikes).
⑦ Non-hardware issues, including but not limited to data loss, software corruption, viruses, or unauthorised software modifications.
⑧ Claims submitted after the expiry of the applicable service period.
⑨ Devices that are lost or stolen.
⑩ Damage resulting from extreme or abnormal use beyond intended consumer handling, including severe impact or crushing damage.
⑪ Devices submitted with missing parts or components.
⑫ System or software-related failures, including self-installation, flashing, or modification of operating systems or applications.
⑬ Any costs incurred where the device is repaired by a service provider other than an HONOR Authorised Service Centre.
⑭ Any perceived or actual reduction in the value of the device following repair.
2. Benefits Transfer
If your device or its mainboard is replaced by an HONOR Authorised Service Centre due to a quality-related failure, the remaining Accidental Damage Protection Service period will transfer to the replacement device or mainboard for the remainder of the original coverage period.
3. Liability Exemption-To the extent permitted by applicable law, HONOR shall not be liable for:
① Loss of data, records, or content stored on the device.
② Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from device damage, including but not limited to loss of income, profit, business opportunity, reputation, or use.
③ Nothing in this clause limits or excludes any rights you may have under the Consumer Protection Act or any other applicable law.
4. Service Termination-Under the following circumstances, the Accidental Damage Protection Service will terminate:
① Upon expiry of the applicable service period.
② Where there is reasonable evidence that the device has been intentionally damaged or used for fraudulent purposes, HONOR reserves the right to terminate the Service and refuse further service, subject to applicable law.
5. Recycling of the Replaced Malfunction Spare Parts
You acknowledge and agree that any defective or replaced parts removed during repair under this Service will become the property of HONOR and will be handled or disposed of through HONOR Authorised Service Centres.
6. Service Limitations
The Service is limited to one (1) accidental damage repair per eligible device during the service period.
7. Use of Authorised Service Centres
① All repairs under this Service must be carried out by an HONOR Authorised Service Centre.
② HONOR will not be responsible for any damage or costs arising from repairs performed by unauthorised service providers.
8. Nature of Service
① All repairs under this Service must be carried out by an HONOR Authorised Service Centre.
② This Service is a value-added after-sales benefit and does not constitute an insurance product.
9. Logistics and Handling
Free logistics or courier services, where applicable, are limited to eligible repairs arranged through HONOR Authorised Service Centres and in accordance with HONOR’s service processes.
10. Dispute Resolution
① If a dispute arises in connection with this Service, the parties will first attempt to resolve the matter through good faith negotiation.
② If the dispute cannot be resolved, it may be referred to the competent courts of South Africa for resolution in accordance with applicable laws.
