Forgot BIOS startup password
Forgot BIOS startup password |
Problem
You have forgotten your BIOS POST Password and enter the wrong password after powering on the computer. This leads to operating system being unable to load.
Cause
The BIOS POST Password is stored on the BIOS ROM chip in order to protect your privacy and increase your computer's security.
Once you set a BIOS POST Password, you need to enter the password every time you power on your computer in order to load the operating system. The password cannot be obtained or modified even if you reinstall your operating system.
Solution
If the password you entered is incorrect, check whether it is case-sensitive and whether you have enabled the numeric keypad. Try entering the password again.
If the password you enter is repeatedly rejected, this indicates that you have forgotten the password. It is recommended that you take your computer and proof of purchase to an authorized Honor Customer Service Center for assistance. Service fees will be determined by the service center.
Honor computers do not have a factory set BIOS password, nor do they have any universal password. Exercise caution when setting a BIOS POST Password.
Once you successfully set a BIOS POST Password, you must ensure that you remember it.
