If your phone does not respond when you are touching the in-screen fingerprint icon or enrolling fingerprints, try the following:
- Replace the third-party screen protector with a standard HONOR screen protector at an HONOR Authorized Service Center, as the third-party screen protector may affect the fingerprint unlock success rate.
- Cover the fingerprint sensor with your fingertip as much as possible. Touch the in-screen fingerprint icon with appropriate force until the screen is unlocked or your phone vibrates.
- Ensure that your fingers are not too dry.
- Ensure that your fingers and the phone screen are clean.
- If the issue persists, restart your phone and try again.
- You are also advised to reset all settings by searching for and accessing Reset all settings in Settings, and then try again.
Reset all settings will reset your network, fingerprint ID, facial image, and lock screen password settings.
If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an HONOR Authorized Service Center for assistance.
