My phone/tablet or charger heats up during charging
My phone/tablet or charger heats up during charging |
It is normal for your phone/tablet to heat up while charging, especially if it supports fast charging or super fast charging, as the current and voltage are higher when compared with normal charging.
If you are charging your phone/tablet wirelessly, your phone/tablet may generate heat due to energy loss during wireless data transmission. This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your phone/tablet.
To prevent your phone/tablet from overheating, perform the following:
Use the charger that came with your phone/tablet
It is recommended that you use the standard charger to charge your phone/tablet. Using a third-party charger may result in your phone/tablet heating up due to incompatible charging specifications.
Charge your phone/tablet in a place with good heat dissipation
Place the phone/tablet in a well-ventilated environment, such as indoors or on a desk. If the heat dissipation is poor, such as under direct sunlight, in a car, or on a bed or sofa, the phone/tablet temperature will increase.
Avoid using your phone/tablet while charging it
Do not use your phone/tablet while charging it, as this may make the overheating worse.
Clear background apps that are not in use
If there are too many apps running in the background, it is recommended that you promptly clear apps that are not in use.
If your phone/tablet heats up significantly with light use or when not in use and restarting it and leaving it for a period of time cannot resolve the problem; we suggest you backup your phone/tablet data and bring your proof of purchase to HONOR Authorized Service Center for assistance.
