This Privacy Statement applies to the processing of your personal data in connection with the "China Night event at the occasion of the 79th Cannes Film Festival" (hereinafter, the "EVENT").

The data controller for the EVENT is Honor Device Co., Ltd., Suite 3401, Unit A, Building 6, Shum Yip Sky Park, No. 8089, Hongli West Road, Xiangmihu Street, Futian District, Shenzhen City, Guangdong Province, China (hereinafter referred to as "HONOR", "we", "us", or "our").

The event is opened only for adults.

This Privacy Notice describes:

1. What Data Do We Collect About You?

When you attend the EVENT, your personal data may be collected and processed if videos and/or photographs capture your image.

2. How Do We Use Your Data?

We will use your image, if captured by video or photograph during the Event, for promotional purposes, including internal and external communication, promotional videos on social media and online websites. We will proceed with such processing as it is necessary for our legitimate interest of promoting our brand and products.

3. Where and how will be process your personal data?

Your personal data (image) will be processed in China. Honor complies with all applicable legal requirements to safeguard your personal data transferred outside of the EEA and UK. To share data within our affiliate(s), we have entered into standard contractual clauses to ensure that an equivalent level of data protection applies to your personal data even where the EEA and UK data protection laws do not directly apply.

We will retain your personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes defined in this Statement. In particular, we will retain your portrait for five (5) years.

Once the retention period expires, we will delete or anonymize your personal data, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations.

4. How Do We Share Your Data?

Our third-party suppliers, who provide us with services to run the Event, take pictures and videos, and to operate simultaneous interpretation function may need to process your data. These third parties will be acting as data processors, under contract and acting on our behalf.

5. How Do we safeguard your personal data?

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to safeguard personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification, or loss, including by employing cryptographic technologies to ensure the confidentiality of data in transmission and deploying access control mechanisms to ensure that only limited and authorized personnel can access your personal data where there is a business need to do so.

6. What Are Your Rights and Options?

You may exercise at any time your rights of access, erasure, restriction, objection in relation to your personal data or to define the directives concerning the retention, deletion and communication of your personal data after your death, as well as consult with our Data Protection Officer (DPO), by filling out the form available at Privacy Questions page.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint before your local data protection authority.

7. How Do We Update this Statement?

In the event of material changes to this Statement, we will notify you by means of notification dialogs, push messages, emails, and so on, depending on the nature of the change.
