Problem
After the user opens Word, Compatibility Mode is displayed at the top next to the file name.
Cause
This happens when you are using a higher version of Office software (for example, Office 2019 or Office 2016) to open a Word document that is written using an earlier version (for example, Office 2003).
Solution
- Open a Word document, click File in the top-left corner, go to File > Compatibility Mode, and click Convert.
- Click OK. Check whether this issue has been resolved.
