Windows Cannot Check for Updates When One-Click Hotspot of PC Manager Is Used
Windows Cannot Check for Updates When One-Click Hotspot of PC Manager Is Used |
Problem
When one-click hotspot of HONOR PC Manager is enabled, the computer can browse the web normally. However, when the computer enters the Windows update page, Microsoft Store, Outlook mailbox, and other Microsoft applications, the system prompts that Windows cannot check for updates or the network is not connected.
Cause
Due to Microsoft specifications, when being updated, the system will detect whether the computer is connected to Wi-Fi. However, after the new one-key hotspot function is upgraded and optimized, the connected Wi-Fi information will not be reflected in WLAN settings. When checking for updates, the Windows system cannot detect that the computer is connected to Wi-Fi. If Internet access fails, the system prompts that Windows cannot check for updates.
Solution
It is recommended that you use a computer to connect to Wi-Fi before system update, ensuring that the computer is connected to the Internet and the network signal is stable. (If the signal is unstable, the system update may fail.)
