HI FANS HONOR
The HONOR X series has brought something new and surprising each year, particularly with its 6X, 7X and 8X models. I've waited a long time for the HONOR 9X Pro, and now have finally had a chance to see what Honor has brought to the table
3D dynamic glass cover
The 9X Pro has a glass cover, just like its 8X predecessor, but it's been embellished with a new 3D rhombic "X" texture whose color and pattern changes depending on the angle of the light. This dynamic design is exactly what we've come to expect from Honor over the years.

48MP AI tri-camera
The 48MP camera system comprises 48MP, 8MP and 2MP sensors. Its AI recognizes over 60 types of scene and optimizes its levels accordingly to deliver the best possible images.

All of the photos below were taken in Standard mode, so you can get a clear idea of the camera's definition, and how well the AI works. It reproduces color superbly across the board, producing hues that are both vivid and authentic. The 48MP camera guarantees razor-sharp detail, and this remains the case even when you blow the image right up.

2X zoom
When I have to take long–exposure shots at night, the 9X Pro's still got me covered. The intelligent NPU assists in a dedicated algorithm to produce crisp detail every time. Even when faced with extremes of light or dark, it doesn't overexpose or underexpose the image, or produce that foggy gloss which too often casts a pall over night phonetography.

6.59-inch FullView Display with a 16MP pop-up camera
The 9X Pro feels great in my hand, and very secure due to its compact design — it has a massive screen with virtually no borders, so it's just the right size for easy handling. It's said the screen is designed to protect my vision, with a special TÜV Rheinland-certified Eye comfort mode. Video enhancement technology ensures that videos aren't too dark, so everything on the screen is always distinguishable. The screen also works well in sunlight, and I haven't run into any glare issues.

The 16MP AI front camera pops up when I switch to take a selfie. Its drop-protection feature has been tested by my dropping it onto my sofa over and over again. Each time I let go of the phone, the camera retracted, so any possible damage was averted. It seems pretty safe to me!

7nm Kirin 810 SoC + GPU Turbo 3.0, for exhilarating gaming
The Kirin 810 incorporates two "big" high-performing Arm Cortex-A76 cores, and six "little" power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores. It features a maximum clock speed of 2.27 GHz, and its single-core performance is 75% more powerful than its 710 predecessor. The proprietary NPU scored an impressive 32,000 in AI benchmarking tests, topping the rank (at the )time of its release
I played half an hour of PUBG Mobile when my 9X Pro battery level was at 30%, and I also maxed out the image rendering quality. The frame rate was amazingly high and stable, and when I was done I still had 23% of the power.

4,000 mAh battery + Liquid Cooling, for extended use
Heat pipes run throughout the 9X Pro, cooling it effectively so the CPU performance remains strong. On a 33°C day, the screen and back cover were around 35°C and 37°C respectively after a game of PUBG. Combine this with a 4,000 mAh battery, and the phone can easily last a full day, even when I game frequently, so I've never had to worry about the battery dying in the afternoon.

Summary
The HONOR 9X Pro is prettier than its fellow X series phones, and has even mightier hardware and features. It'll prove very hard to beat, especially at this price point.
