    Statement About HONOR Events and Privacy

    This Privacy Statement applies to the processing of your personal data in connection with WEU Launch (“EVENT”). The data controller for the EVENT is Honor Technologies (UK) Co., Ltd., Third Floor, 136 George St, London, W1H 5LD, United Kingdom (hereinafter referred to as "HONOR", "we", "us", or "our").

    We understand the importance of your privacy. Please take the time to read this Privacy Notice carefully to understand how we process your personal data.

    The event is opened for adults. However, for the use of HONOR products and services by children, we are fully aware of the importance of taking extra preventive measures to protect privacy and security. HONOR identifies whether a data subject is an adult based on the age of majority defined by the local laws of the country or region in which the data subject resides.

    This Privacy Notice describes:


    1. What Data Do We Collect About You?

    When you attend the EVENT, we shall collect and use your personal data only for the purposes stated in this Statement. We will collect and process the following data:

    - For Event registration and to manage your attendance: we will collect your first name, surname, contact email, company’s name, country/region.

    - During the event, we will take videos and photos of the people attending to our event. However, only the speakers (hereinafter the “Data Subjects”, “you” or “your”) of this event will be identifiable in the pictures and videos shared as mentioned below.


    2. How Do We Use Your Data?

    We process your personal data based on specific purposes and legal grounds in accordance to UK GDPR.

    Processing your personal data (including first name, surname, contact email, company’s name, country/region) is necessary for us to provide you with the EVENT, such as managing the guest list, issuing your guest card or badge, sending you essential event communications, and checking your identity upon entry.

    Based on your Consent, we will process your portrait from the Event for the purpose of displaying it at the event or using it in promotional materials and on social media to make announcement about the Event.

    Based on our Legitimate Interest to promote our brand and future events, we may use general event photos and videos in which you may incidentally appear for internal reporting and in external marketing materials. You have the right to object to this processing (see Section 6).


    You can withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing consent will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. For further details on how, please see Section 6: What Are Your Rights and Options.


    3. How do we store your personal data?

    Your personal data (first name, surname, contact email, company’s name, country/region) are stored in the UK/EU. For purposes of internal group reporting and administration, your data, including event photos and videos, may be transferred to and stored by our affiliate entities.. HONOR complies with all applicable legal requirements to safeguard your personal data transferred outside of the EEA and UK. To share data within our affiliate(s) we have entered into standard contractual clauses to ensure that an equivalent level of data protection applies to your personal data even where the EEA and UK data protection laws does not directly apply.

    We will retain your personal data for no longer than is necessary for the purposes defined in this Statement.

    - The personal information for event registration and for simultaneous interpretation function will be deleted or anonymized within 30 days from the end of the Event.

    - We retain your portrait for [12 months] for internal reporting purposes to keep track of our activities and for reference regarding future projects.

    Once the retention period expires, we will delete or anonymize your personal data, unless otherwise required by laws and regulations.


    4. How Do We Share Your Data?

    Our third-party suppliers, who provide us with services to run the Event, take pictures and videos, and to operate simultaneous interpretation function may need to process your data. These third parties are operating under contract and acting on behalf of us. They act as the data processer in the respective scenarios.


    5. How Do we safeguard your personal data?

    We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to safeguard personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, use, modification, or loss, including by employing cryptographic technologies to ensure the confidentiality of data in transmission and deploying access control mechanisms to ensure that only limited and authorized personnel can access your personal data where there is a business need to do so.


    6. What Are Your Rights and Options?

    To exercise the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection or portability in relation to your data or if you have any complaint or query about how we processes your personal data, or consult with our Data Protection Officer (DPO), please contact us by visiting https://www.honor.com/uk/privacy/

    You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.


    7. How Do We Update this Statement?

    In the event of material changes to this Statement, we will notify you by means of notification dialogs, push messages, emails, and so on, depending on the nature of the change.
