Introducing the HONOR Film Festival

Honor Film Festival

We’re constantly looking for new ways to make it easy for our users to pursue their passions. In the fast-paced lifestyle we’ve grown accustom to, the everyday device we carry with us – primarily the smartphone camera – has become the ultimate partner-in-crime.

The camera within the phone does more than just capture moments. It creates another realm of possibility for people like you to be creative and share stories.

That’s why on Wednesday, May 12, we’re excited to launch the first ever HONOR Film Festival (HFF) in New York, a new digital film festival featuring shorts captured entirely from the lens of a smartphone.

On May 12, we’ll also kick-off the screening of six short films captured by smart phones at the official HONOR Film Festival website. A new film will be featured every Thursday for six weeks, running from May 12 to June 16.

Alongside the screening, we’re hosting a contest for members of the film community, where participants can enter their film story for their chance to win $5,000 cash plus $20,000 in production costs, and an HONOR phone to turn their story into a real film.

HFF will kick off in New York City with Owltainment and Professor Karl Bardosh of NYU Tisch School of the Arts.

Join us as we enable future filmmakers to push their ideas forward!
