我的荣耀 开启荣耀之旅

The display is the only aspect where it really feels not so top-notch in terms of hardware. This is not to say it's bad. It's a great FHD+ display that is bright and lovely. In my opinion, it's the notch that makes the display not so top-notch.
Apart from that, the display is actually very clear and crisp. Although it never reached the standard of true high-end phones, it's more than adequate. At least for me, the 409 pixels per inch are more than enough. The display is 6.3-inch. The 19.5:9 aspect ratio and thin bezels offer a screen experience that is simply great.
It would have been amazing to see a higher refresh rate display on HONOR Play, though it would have pushed up the cost.
As HONOR is a sub-brand of Huawei, you have a slightly tweaked version of EMUI 8.2.0.
As HONOR Play is a gaming phone, my device has 6 games that are pre-installed. It's not a big problem, but I still prefer to see this as an option.
Operation is pretty good, but I think it doesn't quite match that of the OnePlus 6, for example. This shouldn't be viewed as a complaint, because switching between apps and games is fast and consistent. My biggest concern with this device is the relatively lower RAM amount. Will it be as smooth once EMUI gets an update?
Gaming performance has been excellent throughout my time with the device.
The 12-core Mal-G72 MP12 GPU handles most graphically intensive games with ease. So far, I haven't seen any real slowdown or performance issues in 3D games such as Asphalt 9 or Shadow Fight.
In terms of camera hardware, I would say "modest" at best. The phone comes with a main 16MP camera at f/2.2 alongside a secondary depth-sensing 2MP sensor at f/2.4, which helps with portrait photography.
The Kirin 970 packed inside can enable users to perform some neat AR and AI camera tricks. The AI scene recognition is very helpful because it can adjust for specific conditions. However, I would personally turn off the AI scene recognition for better overall photo effects.
The selfie camera is certainly on par with the rear-facing cameras. It comes with a 16MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture, which offers crisp and somewhat unflattering results.
One aspect that I really expected excellence was battery life. But it turns out to be a bit disappointing. When I was playing graphically intense games like the Asphalt racing series games, the 3750mAh battery began to decrease very quickly and the back of the phone started to heat up a little.
If you barely play games, I really don't think you will be disappointed with the battery. I managed to get through a couple of days of 6 hours' on screen time, which is my normal usage that includes YouTube viewing, Netflix casting, Gmail usage, plenty of Twitter scrolling, and hundreds of SMS and WhatsApp messages being sent and received.
